World bank is not technically a bank but rather a unique partnership to reduce poverty and support developing countries. World Bank which is headquartered in Washington,D.C., reached out to Mobomo in 2014 in hopes of creating an app that would allow people to find locations where they can send money to a different country at the touch of a fingertip.

World Bank which is headquartered in Washington,D.C., reached out to Mobomo in 2014 in hopes of creating an app that would allow people to find locations where they can send money to a different country at the touch of a fingertip.
The mobile app allows users to compare different remittance prices on a map so that they can get the best price or compare search results in a list based on their location. Users are also able to save favorite places, and login through different channels including social media. We also developed the option to integrate firms’ APIs to automatically get their information without the need of manual input.
This project took 6 months to build, it was comprehensive because of its functionality and all the offerings that the dashboard has. It is offered in 4 different languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian. The app is available for both Android and iOS, phones as well as tablets. Since the project launched we have added a few more features and continue to do maintenance on the application.
